Last year, I wrote an article on how I keep informal yearly meetings with my employees, called “Coffee with the CEO”. The main goal of this meeting is to talk with my employees and get some feedback on how we can all improve and, of course, how the whole company can grow and develop. The response to my first article was very positive and a lot of managers told me that they are already using our questionnaire. Here are their feedbacks:
Coffee with the CEO – Part 2
The role of every manager is to create a good work environment for their co-workers, so I always like to test out new things. I began testing the questionnaire “Coffee with the CEO” in the middle of 2017 and I got an extremely positive response from the side of my co-workers. The questionnaire I got from Miha Lavtar helped me lead the conversation, which ended up bringing great results. We even expanded our cooperation with certain co-workers and carried our projects, which we never would before because they wouldn’t have mentioned anything. Such a simple project, such great results.

This questionnaire is a powerful starting point for 1:1 meetings. I picked the best questions, left some out and added some of my own, which are specific for my field. Thanks to the questionnaire, I got useful information about what people want to do and what motivates them and at the same time I was surprised at the positive attitude among co-workers and at how connected the team is and how they care for one another. The questions really give them a chance to open up and tell the good and the bad things, which is a sign that they’re motivated and loyal.

Therefore, I decided to share our second questionnaire, which is slightly different and which is used on all meetings after the first one. A lot of the questions are the same, so you can compare answers from the previous years, but you also have completely new, unique ones. I hope that you, your co-workers and your company like it and use it to become even better and stronger.
