When there’s talk about culinary arts and exciting dishes prepared by the most skilled chefs, one name will always stand out: the Jezeršek family. Well, just try to imagine our excitement when we find out that Jezeršek’s masters had b been developing an exciting idea about an e-catering service and that we would get the chance to help them bring it to life.
How we tackled the challenge
Very soon after the Jezeršek team had shared their vision with us and told us about their requirements, we put our heads together to get things going as soon as possible. As the world was just tackling the first wave of COVID-19, which hit the hospitality business particularly hard, it was clear to us that there was no time to waste on the project. Therefore, it took us only a month to create a new e-commerce platform, develop a user-friendly ordering system with a custom cart, implement online payment solutions and start promoting the new service online. We took care of all digital marketing activities, from preparing the materials for online ads to creating the campaigns.
We spoke to Jure Jezeršek, Business Director at Jezeršek Gostinstvo and the man behind the project, to find out how the team came upon the idea about an e-catering service and what effect it had on the family business.

Why did you decide for such a project and when did the idea about an e-catering service pop into your mind?
We’d been developing this idea for quite some time and in May, we were finally ready for the next step. Our goal was to expand our catering portfolio by enabling the customers to also order our services online, thus additionally improving their user experience when ordering food for various events (business meetings, team buildings, brunches, lunches, celebrations …), especially those that don’t require extra service staff.
There could hardly be a better time to bring this creative culinary idea to life. That’s why we are proud to have created the Jezeršek e-commerce platform, which enables users to simply order top-level catering services online. This way, delicious fresh dishes made from the best local ingredients and available at accessible prices, a quick delivery of food, beverages and accessories in visually appealing packaging as well as contactless payment options are only a few clicks away. Our online shelves also offer original culinary gifts (like Jezeršek Academy gift cans, vouchers …).
What were your expectations after launching the service? Are you happy with the initial results?
Due to the difficult situation that the company was faced with, the team was forced to develop a new medium-term strategy for the years 2020 and 2021. Focussing on areas that are expected to recover sooner, we also developed a new online service that we named Jezeršek e-catering. We are happy with the first results, especially as we are getting more and more positive feedback from our clients. As always, our expectations are very high. :)

However, people don’t only praise our creative culinary idea as they are also excited by a user-friendly ordering experience, our professionalism and customer care as well as the food quality. Many online visitors were also impressed by the food presentation, which has to do with the fact that we’ve shot all the photos for the new page in-house.
And last but not least: how satisfied were you with our work and the final product?
