RDI Project – PWA Application

As part of the public call “Incentives for Research and Development Projects NOO”, an RDI project for the development of a new generation of applications is being carried out.

The PWA application project involves the use of innovative technologies. Its commercialization will contribute to a positive shift for the Republic of Slovenia in the European Innovation Index and the Digital Economy and Society Index. The project is implemented within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Facility, financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

DURATION: 01/2023 – 01/2025

The project covers the field of websites, applications, and the Internet of Things (IoT), accessible within the internet network via web servers. With this research and development project for the advancement of PWA applications, we aim to increase the energy efficiency of websites and applications through innovations and the use of modern technological trends by reducing the demand for server resources.

The goal is to develop a web application that will work across all operating systems and mobile devices, achieve faster response times and operational speed, while consuming significantly less energy compared to traditional approaches to website and application development. This will result in electricity savings and a reduction of the carbon footprint.
