My story

Curiosity has led me to extremely interesting life decisions and paths. For example, theology studies; or travelling in Texas at 45 degrees in the shade; starting a company; searching for creative answers to boring questions; dancing swing, blues and salsa; travelling across Europe; and, of course, joining Optiweb. Suddenly, curiosity was joined by imagination.

How did you first join Optiweb?

Miha invited me for a beer and a tour of the office space. After the initial “you’re a great team but I’m just not interested at the moment” we passed their conference room where the guys play poker every Friday at 6 p.m. That’s when I thought “wow, this is really happening.” That was followed by a third invitation; I went to a test sales meeting and learned in an hour more than I had in half a year at my previous company. That was it for me. Success comes by using failure as a method for discovering the wealth of roads not taken. But it takes courage to take the next step. And there’s certainly no lack of courage at Optiweb.

What do sales mean to you?

Transforming problems into challenges and using inspiration to find the right solutions. Selling enables me to get excited about a customer product or service and find added value with fresh eyes. We use that to build a successful online story together. Each day is a new surprise, each meeting a new challenge.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

To see if it came before the egg. Duh, dinosaurs came first so the egg wins. :)

What’s your happiest childhood memory?

The moment I beat my grandpa at chess for the first time. You can learn a lot from losing but it shouldn’t become a habit. :)
